Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an Assembler 1 in Apopka, FL to perform a range of assembly tasks from optical to electro-mechanical subassemblies. You will follow detailed instructions, handle sensitive components, and bond parts with specified adhesives in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen or resident.
• Experience with optical or mechanical subassemblies.
• Experience using microscopes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble optical and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies (lenses, mounts, housings).
• Assemble components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Handle and install sensitive components with proper handling practices.
• Bond parts using adhesives (epoxy, tape).
• Apply adhesives with syringes, dispensers or automated equipment.
• Follow ESD/FOD practices and safety procedures.
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings and routers.
• May inspect quality on the line and test prototypes.
