The Bair Foundation is seeking a Home Study Assessor to help children move toward safe, stable, and permanent homes. In this field-based role, you’ll conduct comprehensive home studies and assessments to determine a family’s readiness to foster or adopt, ensuring alignment with child welfare standards and safeguarding outcomes.

You’ll interview prospective families, prepare clear, timely reports, and collaborate with agency staff to meet quality and compliance expectations, while guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Experience with children, families, or social services preferred.
• Strong assessment, interviewing, and professional writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.

WHAT YOU’LL DO TO MAKE ANIMPACT

• Conduct in-depth home studies and assessments inaccordance with agency standards and regulatory requirements

WHAT YOU BRING (BasicQualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related humanservices field preferred
• Experience working with children, families, or social service systemspreferred
• Strong assessment, interviewing, and professional writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, andvehicle registration
