Job summary

Premier ProduceOne in Columbus, OH is seeking an entry-level Quality and Inventory Control Associate (QCA) to help ensure product accuracy and quality. You will support receiving, put-away, and inventory processes on the 1st shift, starting at 5am, with full-time, permanent status and paid training.

This role offers hands-on learning with WMS, FIFO procedures, and QA/QC duties. You'll document issues, assist with monthly counts, and help maintain product integrity and accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• Integrity, reliability and flexibility to support QA/QC and inventory tasks.
• Background in inventory control and quality control with warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with WMS, cycle counting and FIFO concepts.
• Attention to detail and strong communication; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Document and photograph unacceptable products on receipt and submit to Procurement (WMS).
• Notify QC team and warehouse supervisor about FIFO overrides.
• Assess RMAs and track errors to maintain inventory accuracy; restock per protocol.
• Dispose of substandard products and perform inventory adjustments in WMS.
• Contribute to regular quality inspections and inventory updates; support inventory counts.

Pay is $20.00

What you can expect your workday to look like.

• Utilizing FDA/USDA guidelines to inspect inbound products to meet company standards and provide the best quality product possible.
• Identifying discrepancies resulting from inventory transfers, repacks, and receiving errors to reduce or minimize product loss to remain cost-effective.
• Utilizing FDA/USDA guidelines to inspect on-hand inventory to meet company standards and provide the best quality product possible while minimizing product loss.

Daily duties for each area of responsibility.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• When a product is received, the QCA will document and photograph unacceptable substandard products and submit the documentation to the Procurement Department. Management System (WMS).
• Notifies other members of the QC team and warehouse supervisor regarding any “First-In-First-Out” (FIFO) overrides.
• Determines the condition of all products Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and tracks product errors that may affect inventory accuracy. Will restock products ensuring the return to inventory protocols are followed.
• Disposes of substandard products and makes appropriate physical inventory adjustments in WMS.
• Removes substandard products out of inventory and completes inventory adjustments. Performs quality inspection on a regular schedule and as needed.

Inventory Control

• Identifies inventory discrepancies resulting from inventory transfers, repacks, or receiving errors.
• Supports month-end inventory process, helps count and reconcile products on hand, and updates WMS.
• Performs inventory counts on schedule, closely manages product slotting, and always remains aware of product locations and labels.
