Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opening for the position of OPS Supervising Dentist within the Healthcare Professions/Dental Hygiene Clinic.

We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.

What You’ll Do

The Supervising Dentist will be based in the Dental Hygiene Clinic on the main campus. The dentist must be present during all clinic sessions, overseeing patient care, student supervision, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards. Responsibilities include evaluating patient histories, requesting medical consultations for systemic complications, administering local anesthesia until students complete their practicum, and overseeing patient documentation and quality assurance. The dentist will also interpret dental x-rays, assist with panoramic x-ray exposures, and provide oral cancer exams and differential diagnoses for suspicious lesions.

Work Schedule

Part-time, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; hours may vary by semester.
