Job description

The Ops Sup Intermed Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to: process ownership for Cards, Commercial and Consumer electronic transfer transactions, record/documentation maintenance, and compliance adherence for the team. Additionally, the Ops Sup Intermed Analyst serves as the liaison between operations staff, offshore partners, relationship managers, credit officers, project managers and technology partners. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform financial, statistical, and operational studies using analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Interpret data and results based on the analysis of information to deliver monthly and adhoc department metrics to senior leaders.
• Apply project management skills to assist with operational projects including collaborating with internal teams to create requirement documents and communicating with project support teams.
• Perform feasibility analysis for significant process changes and partner with business/technology teams to develop process improvements and solutions that help to streamline the operational workflow.
• Resolve varied and complex issues using professional judgment, discretion, and business process expertise.
• Provide informal guidance and coordinate training for new and lower-level team members as needed.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of relevant experience with background in Financial Services Industry (Commercial and Cards Banking related experience is an advantage).
• Working knowledge of ACH and Exceptions processing
• Working knowledge of PEP+ and other return applications
• High level knowledge of NACHA standards and rules
• Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Ability to work under pressure
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Proven organization and time management skills
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
