Responsibilities:
  • Complete timesheets and EAR entries within the required time frame.
  • Be subject to emergency duty in natural disasters.
  • Complete all mandatory or assigned trainings on time.
  • Counsel WIC pregnant and breastfeeding mothers by phone or in person at scheduled intervals.
  • Provide breastfeeding support and information to new mothers, helping to address common concerns.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate records of all client contacts.
  • Work in outlying clinics as assigned.
  • Refer mothers to specialists and community resources according to protocols.
  • Attend and assist with breastfeeding classes, support groups, staff meetings, and trainings.
  • Complete all forms and documentation accurately and timely.
  • Assist with promoting breastfeeding peer counseling and other assigned duties.
  • Ensure confidentiality and data integrity of all information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to interact tactfully with the public, maintain customer service in stressful situations, prioritize tasks, and establish effective working relationships.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum: Exclusively breastfed at least one child for six months.
