Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking a temporary OPS Facilities Assistant to support daily operations and building activities. Work schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs.

You will assist the Facility Manager with setup or breakdown of offices, labs, classrooms and event spaces; help with furniture moves and light equipment relocation; and support coordination of work orders and facilities requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to approximately 25–40 pounds.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facility Manager with daily operational tasks and building support activities

• Help monitor supply inventory and assist with restocking facility materials
• Perform routine walkthroughs of building areas and report issues or maintenance needs
• Provide logistical support for special events, meetings, or departmental activities
• Assist with general organizational tasks related to building operations and storage areas
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Expected Salary
