Job summary

3M in Dekalb, IL is seeking a Sr Manager, Operations Excellence and PMO to lead cross-functional supply chain projects and the PMO program in Global Logistics.

You will partner with business leaders, manage project plans, budgets, and stakeholder communications, and mentor team members while driving standardization and continuous improvement across facilities. This role is hybrid with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Industrial engineering, business or related field.
• PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma related Project Management certification.
• Ten (10+) years of experience in supply chain, distribution, or operations excellence in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Five (5+) years of experience in project leadership or operations excellence.
• Certifications in CSCP, CLTD, SC Pro or APICS.
• Experience with implementing Automation in Fulfillment/ Distribution centers.
• Transformation management experience.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop innovative engineering solutions to drive improvements.
• Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence decision-making. Strong leadership and teamwork abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional supply chain projects and PMO activities.
• Manage distribution center improvement projects and standardization efforts.
• Collaborate with Program Manager, business management, stakeholders and project team members to refine project scope and develop complete project plans.
• Mentor and develop future team leaders within the business unit.
