Job Description:

The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support seminars, events, and front-office operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating logistics, assisting guests, and keeping a department running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate weekly MAE seminars (set-up, catering, recording, guest support).
  • Arrange travel and reimbursements for seminar speakers and visiting faculty.
  • Support departmental events, including catering, RSVPs, setup, and cleanup.
  • Serve as the first point of contact at the front office, answering phones and assisting visitors.
  • Assist with supply orders, calendars, signage, and general administrative needs.
Expected Salary: $16 per hour; commensurate with experience Required Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver's license.

Preferred:

Familiarity with UF campus resources, services, and systems (e.g. UFGO, Concur).
