STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I

  • Serves as the Special Assistant to the Deputy Director.
  • Performs responsible, varied, complex, analytical, and politically sensitive short-term projects and activities assigned by the Deputy Director.
  • Reviews and evaluates materials submitted to the Deputy Director.
  • Oversees and manages the review queue for departmental and program policy applications, ensuring consistency, completeness, and quality in format, grammar, content, and audience.
  • Leads coordination, facilitation, and planning of performance tracking, trainings, initiatives, communications, and events for the Deputy Director.
  • Maintains communication with internal/external stakeholders, including OPP branch chiefs, program leaders, and government offices.

Working Conditions

This position may be eligible for telework at the Department's discretion, subject to program policies. All teleworkers must be California residents. Travel may be required, with reimbursement considerations based on the employee’s designated headquarters.
