The Cowlitz Indian Tribe seeks an experienced physician leader to serve as Assistant Medical Director for NorthStar, our Opioid Treatment Program in Vancouver, WA. This role combines high-level clinical leadership with program development in a collaborative Dyad Model of Clinic Leadership, partnering with the Medical Director to advance patient care and regulatory excellence.

Qualified candidates will hold an MD/DO, board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry, and a current

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an accredited residency.
• Current unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• DEA registration and authority to prescribe controlled substances.
• Board certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
• Ability to credential with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• BLS/ACLS as required by the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical operations and quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with provider oversight and development.
• Participate in regulatory and accreditation activities.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and act for the Medical Director as delegated.
• Contribute to strategic and operational decision-making.
