Aiken Center is a dedicated outpatient facility specializing in the prevention and treatment of substance use disorder. Our mission is to promote hopeful, healthy living and freedom from substance misuse through prevention, treatment, and recovery support.

Summary

We are seeking anOpioid Abatement and Prevention Coordinatorto join our team at Aiken Center. This role is responsible for aiding community partners in establishing, revising and maintaining strategies that lead to healthy habits and lifestyles to abate opiate misuse, specializing in prevention-focused areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based substance use prevention education in schools, public outreach, and social media campaigns.
  • Monitor ODMAP, collaborate with the coroner’s office, use real-time overdose fatality data, and offer Naloxone training in overdose "hot spots" across Aiken County.
  • Develop SCORF application processes for allocating funding to community partners to achieve CAP goals/strategies.
  • Form and coordinate an advisory body responsible for decisions related to SCORF funding allocation.
  • Map Aiken County's Opioid Abatement Strategies and share with leadership and community partners.
  • Maintain communication to keep partners informed about strategy implementation, enabling more efficient planning and execution of opioid prevention efforts.
  • Track and accurately document all prevention efforts.
  • Complete SCORF data tracking forms for all related projects.
  • Communicating with leaders across Aiken County for best possible planning, relationship building, coordinating, scheduling, and service feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited college or university in a human services field.
  • Two years of experience in law enforcement, prevention, education, public health or related health and human services work
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and obtain relevant certifications as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
