Job summary

Valley Children’s Healthcare is seeking an Ophthalmology Technician to support ophthalmology services under an ophthalmologist. You will take patient histories, perform vision screenings, and carry out refractometry, tonometry and lensometry while preparing patients for exams and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ophthalmic Technology Program completion preferred or equivalent experience.
• Two years in a similar role or related patient-care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and perform vision screenings.
• Conduct refractometry, tonometry, and lensometry.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures and assist ophthalmologists.
• Operate and sanitize ophthalmic equipment and maintain accurate records.
