VA Northern California Health Care System seeks ophthalmologists to join our team of comprehensive and subspecialist ophthalmologists at the Stockton Clinic. The role involves managing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions, including general Cornea, Glaucoma, and Retina disorders, with a focus on anterior segment surgical skills.
You will have opportunities to perform surgeries in our state-of-the-art operating rooms, work with experienced eye nurses, and train residents. Responsibilities include clinical care, supervising residents, and training in outpatient and surgical settings.
Our facility is affiliated with UC Davis Hospital System, featuring modern operating rooms and serving as a referral center for eye conditions in Northern California. We offer dedicated technician support, onsite lasers, advanced diagnostic tools, and a comprehensive optical shop. Other specialists onsite include cornea, glaucoma, and retina/vitreous experts. The environment is friendly and rewarding, with appreciative patients. Academic appointments with UC Davis School of Medicine may be available, along with opportunities for teaching and research.
Full-time, primarily day shifts, with options for home call or Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm; shared on-call duties.
