Position: Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon - UPMC Vision Institute
The Vision Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking an Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our esteemed health system. Candidates must have completed an Oculoplastic Surgery fellowship and be BC/BE in Ophthalmology, with the ability to obtain a PA license.
About the position:
- Contribute to expanding the department's multidisciplinary care pathways by collaborating with primary and specialty care physicians inside and outside the department.
- Teach and supervise residents and fellows across hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms.
- Engage in research, with opportunities to initiate an ASOPRS fellowship.
- Practice at UPMC Mercy, UPMC Shadyside, UPMC Oakland, and St. Margaret's satellite, with growth potential in cosmetic services.
- Join a collaborative, academically-focused team of 59 physicians, including 2 Oculoplastic Surgeons, 43 Ophthalmologists, and 14 Optometrists.
- Practice locations include UPMC Vision Institute at the Mercy Pavilion and Oakland.
- Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with one administrative day.
