Job description

Position: Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon - UPMC Vision Institute

The Vision Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking an Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to join our esteemed health system. Candidates must have completed an Oculoplastic Surgery fellowship and be BC/BE in Ophthalmology, with the ability to obtain a PA license.

About the position:

1. Contribute to expanding the department's multidisciplinary care pathways by collaborating with primary and specialty care physicians inside and outside the department.
2. Teach and supervise residents and fellows across hospitals, clinics, and operating rooms.
3. Engage in research, with opportunities to initiate an ASOPRS fellowship.
4. Practice at UPMC Mercy, UPMC Shadyside, UPMC Oakland, and St. Margaret's satellite, with growth potential in cosmetic services.
5. Join a collaborative, academically-focused team of 59 physicians, including 2 Oculoplastic Surgeons, 43 Ophthalmologists, and 14 Optometrists.
6. Practice locations include UPMC Vision Institute at the Mercy Pavilion and Oakland.
7. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with one administrative day.
