General Ophthalmology Opening - Burlington, MA

Seeking a board-certified or eligible general ophthalmologist with excellent surgical and clinical skills.

Position Details

1. Full-time, permanent
2. The successful candidate will participate in resident teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects.
3. Research interests are welcomed and supported but are not a requirement.
4. Operating rooms are equipped with LenSx, Centurion phacoemulsification machines, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, ORA system, ECP, and MicroPulse laser unit.
5. Clinics have lasers (Argon, SLT, Nd:YAG) and updated diagnostic testing equipment including OCTs, Optos, Visual fields, ERGs.
6. Technologies such as anterior segment OCT imaging, dry eye management tools (LipiScan, LipiView, IPL) are available.
7. The Medical Group offers advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment, including 3D surgical viewing systems, OCT angiography, wide field imaging, and a full electrophysiology suite.
8. The applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service comprising 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists.
9. The division operates four modern, fully equipped offices in Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, and Lynnfield, MA, along with a state-of-the-art surgical facility in Peabody.
10. As a teaching hospital, MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine.
11. The Medical Group is a key teaching partner of the ophthalmology residency program at Tufts Medical Center.
12. The division maintains longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology programs in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.

Physician-led, multidisciplinary group practice of over 600 doctors with locations in the northern and western suburbs of Boston, including two hospitals (Burlington and Peabody) and multiple satellite clinics. The area offers excellent schools, cultural activities, and easy access to mountains and seacoast.

The Medical Center is a 317-bed tertiary care facility with outpatient clinics and a Level I trauma center in Burlington, MA. It features a fully integrated EPIC EHR platform.
