Job description

Seeking a BE/BC general ophthalmologist to join our Division of Ophthalmology. We are looking for a board-certified or eligible general ophthalmologist with excellent surgical and clinical skills. The successful candidate will participate in resident teaching and collaborate on clinical, academic, and administrative projects. Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not required.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service comprising 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists. We are a teaching hospital affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine and part of the residency program at Tufts Medical Center. Our MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University. Additionally, our division maintains longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology programs in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.

The Facility:

The Ophthalmology division operates four modern, fully equipped offices in Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, and Lynnfield, MA, along with a state-of-the-art surgical facility at the Peabody hospital. Our operating rooms feature LenSx, Centurion phacoemulsification machines, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, ORA system, ECP, and MicroPulse laser units. Our clinics are equipped with lasers (Argon, SLT, Nd:YAG), updated diagnostic testing OCTs, Optos, visual fields, ERGs, as well as anterior segment OCT imaging and dry eye management technologies like LipiScan, LipiView, and IPL.
