Job summary

OREGON SOCIETY OF PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS is seeking an Ophthalmology Physician Assistant to join our eye care team on a full-time basis. You will work under physician supervision to evaluate patients, perform comprehensive assessments, and assist in surgical and in-office procedures.

Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting tests, educating patients, and documenting encounters in the EMR. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Physician Assistant license in the State of OR.
  • NCCPA certification required.
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain).
  • BLS certification.
  • Prior ophthalmology experience preferred, but motivated new graduates with a strong interest in ophthalmology are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, busy, fast paced, patient-centered environment.

  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and postoperative care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure high quality patient care.

Job Overview

Compensation: $120,000.00 for new graduates; higher based on ophthalmology experience. Incentive pay based on productivity negotiable

Work Location: In person, Monday-Friday 8-5
