Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in the United States to scientifically engage with healthcare professionals, translating data into meaningful insights and advancing ophthalmology programs. You will serve as a therapeutic expert, build relationships with KOLs, and collaborate across Medical and Commercial teams to support internal and external activities.

The role requires an advanced life-sciences degree, 3+ years MSL experience (eye care preferred), willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences required (PharmD/PhD/MD/NP/PA/OD).
• 3+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience, eye care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmology and ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with payer presentations is a plus.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–80%.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car/air.

Responsibilities

• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest to advance scientific and medical knowledge.
• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for appropriate assigned customer.
• Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals through presentations, educational programs, and scientific discussions.
• Serve as the primary resource to provide support for addressing unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters.
• Identify, gather, and document field generated scientific insights to drive innovative Medical Affairs strategies while complying with industry and corporate policies and procedures.
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange
• Collaborate with field-based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities
