Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Medical Science Liaison in ophthalmology to serve as a field-based scientific expert and strategic partner, translating clinical data into meaningful insights.

You will engage with healthcare professionals and KOLs, plan and execute medical strategy, deliver technical presentations, and travel up to 60–80% within the assigned territory; base salary ranges from $180,000 to $197,500, with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA, OD) is required.
• 3+ years of Medical Science Liaison experience (eye care preferred).
• Deep scientific knowledge and passion for ophthalmology.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical data.
• Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–80% within the assigned territory; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with healthcare professionals to translate insights.
• Establish and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs; understand clinical practice.
• Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers.
• Communicate clinical data through presentations, educational programs, and discussions.
• Identify and document field-generated insights to guide Medical Affairs strategies.
• Collaborate with Medical, Commercial, and cross-functional teams to share insights.
• Stay updated with scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
