Washington University in St. Louis in ST. LOUIS, MO is seeking a Research Technician to join the Ophthalmology and Pain Center laboratories. The role will support understanding sensory biology in the cornea and neuron–cell interactions in disease and wound healing.

The position assists with studies, data collection, material preparation, and equipment setup, within a collaborative team and a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent may substitute for minimum education.
• No specific work experience required.
• Ideal candidate has up to one year of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research studies, experiments and assays, including data collection.
• Perform data entry and maintain data files on research.
• Prepare tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and documentation.
• Maintain and clean lab equipment and conditions.
• Assist with general lab maintenance.
