Job summary

Syneos Health in North Carolina is seeking a Clinical Scientist - Ophthalmology to drive medical plans and oversee data review processes in multi-site trials.

You will partner with Medical Directors and external experts to shape study conduct, review data for safety and integrity, and prepare medical review summaries.

The role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to ICH/GCP, and contributing to a culture that values patient outcomes and scientific excellence.

Responsibilities

• Works with Medical Director to develop medical plans (Medical Management Plan, Medical Data Review Plan, and Eligibility Review Plan).
• Performs regular and ad-hoc medical review of data listings and data visualization to identify risks and trends.
• Authors medical data queries and reviews query responses; approves query closure with Medical Director.
• Assists Medical Director in patient profiles review and protocol deviation review; creates Medical Review Summary as needed.
• Partners with Medical Directors for data review meetings and safety review meetings, including slide preparation.
