Ophthalmology Associates of Staten Island, PC, a leading provider in Eye Care is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team. Tasks
  1. Conduct preliminary eye exams and collect patient medical histories
  2. Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic tests and procedures
  3. Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, such as visual field analyzers and tonometers
  4. Provide patient education on eye care, treatment options, and post-procedural instructions
  5. Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of test results and treatments
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; certification as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting.
  3. Proficiency in conducting preliminary eye examinations and diagnostic tests.
  4. Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient care.
  5. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
