Job summary

Atrius Health, part of Optum, seeks an Ophthalmologist to join our Chelmsford, MA team. You will perform physical assessments, develop care plans, and prescribe treatments while collaborating with primary care and specialists to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Ophthalmology Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Ophthalmology.
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, as well as prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams in management of patient care, maintaining continuity through information exchange with outside agencies.
• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists related to patient care.
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs; acts as educator in areas of specialization.
• Participates in the development of health education programs.

Education

Required Qualifications:

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $285,000 - $592,500. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
