Job description

We seek an Ophthalmologist to join a well-established, physician-owned group in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley and on the Connecticut shoreline.

Practice Setting:

  • Physician-owned, respected ophthalmology group with over 50 years of clinical excellence.
  • Comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmic services, with subspecialty care in glaucoma and refractive surgery.
  • Strong referral relationships with optometrists, retina specialists, and primary care providers.
  • Diagnostic equipment includes Zeiss Cirrus OCT, Humphrey Visual Field, and Optos California for evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Advanced surgical tools include Alcon Argos, Zeiss IOL Master, and Oculus Pentacam for pre-operative assessments.

Schedule:

  • Four days a week are dedicated to seeing patients; one day is for surgeries.
    • Office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, with up to 40 patients seen daily.
    • Shared on-call rotation; no night or weekend call for emergencies.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package with potential income up to $450,000, including salary, sign-on bonus, retention bonus, and relocation assistance.
    • Partnership track available
    • 5 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) plus six paid holidays.
    • Complete benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) with 3% employer contribution, malpractice coverage, and licensure reimbursement.
    • Annual CME allowance of $5,000.
