Job summary

CompHealth is assisting in placing a locum ophthalmology physician in a busy clinic in Illinois. The role covers clinic, surgery, and call with a typical 4-day workweek from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM including a 1-hour lunch.

The position involves 7–8 cases on morning surgical blocks and two half OR days per week, with call 7 days per month on days chosen by the provider. Phaco with IOL, trabeculectomy, and SLT procedures are expected.

Responsibilities

• Clinic operates 4 days per week, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with 1-hour lunch.
• Handle full scope med/surg ophthalmology including clinic visits, surgery, and call.
• 7–8 cases on morning surgical blocks; two half OR days per week.
• Call: 7 days per month with provider-selected days.
• Procedures include Phaco with IOL, trabeculectomy, SLT, YAG, pterygium, and more.
