The Opportunity

Join PeaceHealth’s established and collegial Eye Care team comprised of four ophthalmologists, two optometrists, a team of ophthalmic technicians, four opticians, one orthoptist and great ancillary staff. The clinic is centrally located in Vancouver, Washington on the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center campus. The position will be replacing a busy retiring Ophthalmologist. Seeking Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, but open to subspecialties with interest in at least some general ophthalmology. Interest in treatment of Neovascular AMD and Diabetic Retinopathy is preferred.

• Work schedule: Monday through Friday
• Call schedule: 1:5
• An expected patient load of 30 -36 per day with variable hospital consults
• A team of talented technicians, including serving as a scribe, work together with each physician.Office has 17 exam and workup lanes, 2 rooms for minor procedures including one with a microscope, OCT, IOL Master, HVF, and OPTOS camera.
• Nextech EMR in clinic, EPIC in hospital
• Scribes in clinic, DAX available in hospital
• Surgeries are performed in the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Eye Center set up with great equipment and well trained and dedicated surgical scrub technicians and RN staff.
• Opportunities for teaching both Family Medicine Residents and WSU Medical Students
• Excellent team communication with monthly physician/administration meetings and monthly all clinic team meeting focused on continuous improvement and ope communication.
