Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• COA certification required within 90 days of hire (Tech Triage I).
• Experience in ophthalmic subspecialties and scribing preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
• Must complete LMS training annually.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize eye-related emergencies by assessing patient symptoms to clarify the responsibilities and expectations.
• Initiate and manage prior authorizations, advocating for patients and supporting physician-designed treatment plans to preserve vision.
• Identify prescription refill needs and collaborate closely with physicians to manage clinical patient care.
• Ensure accurate and efficient documentation in the EMR while effectively coordinating patient care.
• Apply quick and critical thinking in evaluating symptoms, medical history, and patient circumstances in real time.
