Job summary

EyeCare Partners LLC in Millburn, NJ is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe to support ophthalmologists with patient intake, preliminary exams, and documentation in the EMR.

The role requires hands-on patient care experience, the ability to work in a fast-paced clinic, and willingness to travel to Somerset, NJ as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on patient care experience is required.
• Eyecare experience is preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and maintain a professional attitude.
• Anticipate physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR documentation.
• Record patient history and current medications; confirm visit purpose.
• Perform and assist with ophthalmic tests (visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, auto refractor, topography).
• Open/close exam rooms and stock supplies; ensure clean and organized work areas.
