Your Eye Associates in Harleysville, PA is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe to join our family-owned optometry practice. The role emphasizes precise patient testing, documentation, and strong teamwork in a friendly, patient-centered environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn; prior ophthalmic experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Regular hours with no late evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer proficiency; experience with EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams in a professional and friendly manner.
• Accurately record patient histories, medications, and visual complaints.
• Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures (e.g., auto-refraction, tonometry, OCT, visual fields, retinal imaging).
• Assist the doctor with patient flow and clinical documentation.
• Educate patients on contact lens care and eyewear options.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment in clean and working condition.
• Ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
