Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Certification (COA/COT) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for examinations.
• Obtain and document medical and ocular histories.
• Perform preliminary eye testing and diagnostic procedures.
• Measure visual acuity and basic ophthalmic assessments.
• Explain testing and procedures to patients.
• Maintain infection-control procedures.
• Document findings in the EMR system.
• Assist physicians during examinations.
