Minnesota Eye Consultants (MEC) is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician for our Minnetonka clinic. This role performs measurements and tests that help physicians diagnose and plan treatment, primarily with Doctors of Optometry.
Starting pay is $20.00-23.00/hour. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, with occasional 1/2 day Saturdays. Based in Minnetonka, position may shift to other MEC locations as needed.

MN Eye Consultants is currently hiring for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Ophthalmic Technician for our Minnetonka clinic.
Position Summary This position is responsible for performing measurements and tests that provide the physician with the information needed to arrive at a diagnosis and to prescribe treatment. This position primarily works with Doctors of Optometry but may see patients for any MEC provider within their skill-set. Starting pay is $20.00-23.00/hour.
Location/Schedule This position will work Monday-Friday, between 7:30am-5:00pm. May require an occasional 1/2 day on Saturday. The home base of this position is the Minnetonka clinic, but may be scheduled to work shifts at the other MEC locations as needed (Bloomington, Blaine and Woodbury).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform and document subjective and objective ophthalmic testing efficiently to provide basic information necessary for ophthalmic examinations. This includes but is not limited to: history, visual acuities, lensometry (manual and auto), refractometry, keratometry (manual and automated), visual fields, tonometry, assisting with office procedures
Educate patients regarding diagnostic testing and their clinic visit.
Open and close exam rooms, ensure all equipment is clean and ready for the doctor; stock all necessary supplies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience within an eye clinic or Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant or LPN experience
Optometry or Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required
