Job summary

Duly Health and Care seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to join the team in a full-time capacity. You will collect patient data, perform standardized eye tests, and document in the EMR while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong patient interaction, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting. Two years of ophthalmology/optometry experience and ongoing COT certification are expected, with duties including tonometry, visual fields, OCT imaging, and imaging support

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in ophthalmology/optometry setting.
• COT certification within 1 year of employment.
• Familiarity with standard ophthalmic evaluation equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive data collection to aid diagnosis as directed by the physician.
• Interact with patients with respect and professionalism.
• Explain processes and procedures to patients during visits.
• Obtain patient history including chief complaint and allergies.
• Document accurately in the EMR and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Support ophthalmic procedures such as visual acuity tests, tonometry, OCT imaging, keratometry, and pachymetry.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments as needed.
