Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation, supporting ColumbiaDoctors, seeks an Ophthalmic Technician II to provide patient care from basic eye health to surgical interventions. You will assist physicians, manage exam rooms, and triage calls.

Requirements include high school diploma, at least 2 years in ophthalmology, COA preferred, experience with imaging modalities and EMR. We offer equal opportunity employment and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years ophthalmology experience.
• COA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-examination of patients for all specialties across sites.
• Greet patients and visitors.
• Conduct histories, visual acuity, refractions, anterior segment exams, tonometry, pupil evaluation, and Amsler.
• Perform basic diagnostic testing.
• Maintain drug logs and instrument calibration.
• Call triage and process patient matters.
• Document patient records accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.
