Job summary

Spectrum Vision Partners, operating for OCLI Vision, is seeking a patient-focused Ophthalmic Technician - Level 1 to support physicians in delivering high-quality eye care. The role involves patient intake, routine testing, assisting with examinations, and maintaining a safe, efficient clinical environment.

You will work closely with physicians and the clinical team to ensure accurate diagnostic results and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service or medical experience preferred but not required.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred; NextGen is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to travel between multiple offices, as needed.
• Completion of the Ophthalmic Technician Level 1 competency checklist within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and prepare patients for testing.
• Measure and record visual acuity and intraocular pressure.
• Perform clinic tests such as visual fields, OCT, A-Scan/IOL Master, B-Scan.
• Explain testing steps and communicate patient needs to the clinical team.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; maintain supplies and equipment.
• Support efficient patient flow and a compassionate, patient-centered experience.
