Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is looking for an Ophthalmology Technician to support our ophthalmologists in diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. You will conduct diagnostic procedures and assist in clinical surgeries.

Qualifications

• Must possess United States Citizenship.
• At least one year of experience in a health care field.
• Educational qualifications in a health care field or equivalent experience.
• Certification required for certain performance levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical screenings and calibrations of instruments.
• Obtain and evaluate detailed patient medical histories.
• Measure visual acuity and eyeglass prescriptions.
• Assist in clinic-based ophthalmic surgeries.
