Job summary

SVS Vision is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to provide clinical support to the Doctor of Optometry, enhancing patient satisfaction and exam efficiency. The role reports to the Professional Services Department and is based in Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities include refraction, patient history review, and performing essential ocular tests with modern equipment. The candidate will work in a team-oriented environment with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for growth

Responsibilities

• Assists in improving exam efficiency and elevating patient experience
• Communicates with retail office management and staff
• Prepares the clinic day with strong organizational skills
• Performs refraction and related testing
• Reviews case history and current medical conditions
• Performs non-contact tonometry and other ophthalmic measurements
• Operates auto-refractor and Lensometer
• Conducts visual acuity testing and blood pressure measurement
• Performs fundus photography and OCT testing
• Administers eye drop instillation
• Follows supervising OD guidance for additional procedures
• Hands off patient care to the OD
