Job summary

Grene Vision Group in Wichita, KS is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist the ophthalmologist with patient testing and exam preparation, using equipment such as OCT, visual fields, and topography.

The role requires excellent patient service, HIPAA compliance, accurate EMR documentation, and teamwork to support clinic workflow. You will participate in routine testing, data entry, and room preparation throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient service during encounters (in person or by phone).
• Greet patients professionally and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Assist physician by performing testing and preparing patients for exams.
• Record patient data in EMR accurately and thoroughly.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment (OCT, visual fields, topography).
• Document visits and procedures for the physician.
• Support room readiness and general clinic duties.
