Job summary

SVS Vision, Inc. seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to provide clinical support for the Doctor of Optometry, enhancing exam efficiency and patient satisfaction. This role reports to the Professional Services Department.

You will perform refraction, visual acuity testing, automated instruments, fundus photography, OCT, and other procedures under the OD supervision, enabling high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with the retail office management and staff.
• Prepares the clinic day with strong organizational skills.
• Refraction.
• Case history review including current medical conditions.
• Non-Contact tonometry.
• Auto-refractor.
• Visual acuity testing.
• Blood pressure measurement.
• Lensometer.
• Visual field testing.
• Fundus photography.
• OCT testing.
• Eye drop instillation.
• Additional procedures requested by the supervising OD within scope.
• Hands off patient care to the OD.
