UPMC Vision Institute is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to support the Comprehensive Eye Service team at 1622 Locust Street, Ground Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

• Detail-oriented and patient-focused

Responsibilities

• History taking including ocular, medical, medication, social and family history; assess visual acuity with/without correction and related tests.
• Assist with tonometry (ICare, Tonopen) and related ocular testing, lensometry and refractometry as part of diagnostic testing.
• Maintain office inventory, restock exam rooms, clean and sterilize instruments, and travel to other clinic sites as needed.
