Position Overview

Under the direction of the Ophthalmology team, the Ophthalmic Technician assists in providing patient care by taking histories, performing special tests including auto refractions, lensometry, K-reading, visual fields, and A and B scans. The technician oversees patient flow and operational workflow, and performs specialized tests.

Qualifications

1. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
2. Experience: 2 Years in a related discipline (Preferred)
3. Knowledge and Skills: Experience with patient work-up, diagnostic tests, and surgical assistance (Preferred)
