Job summary

Pacific Medical Centers (PacMed) seeks a Medical Assistant to support ophthalmology and optometry providers in Seattle. You will obtain initial patient assessments by recording medical history and visual acuity, and perform specialized procedures under clinician guidance.

In this role you will also handle clerical tasks and manage supplies to keep the clinic running smoothly and patients cared for with attention to detail and compassion.

Qualifications

  • Within 60 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Registration
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 1 year Eye care setting.

Supports ophthalmology and optometry providers ensuring quality patient care and optimal customer service. Obtains initial patient assessment by recording pertinent medical history, visual acuity and performing specialized technical procedures. Performs clerical duties to maintain effective office operations and patient services; manages the usage, disposal, and replenishment of supplies necessary for an efficiently run clinic.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
