US Eye is looking for an compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join their team. In this full-time position based in Chicago, you'll provide world-class eye care through patient workups and various ophthalmic tests while supporting a dynamic and patient-centric environment. The position requires travel between locations in Sarasota and Venice.

JOB SUMMARY:
Center For Sight is seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician.
This position requires travel between the Venice and Sarasota locations.
This Ophthalmic Technician will provide world class eye care. He or she will perform patient workups and ophthalmic testing including, but not limited to: history taking, scribing, visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, motility, visual fields, pupil assessment, manifest refractions, administering anesthetic & dilation drops, and other special tests, as needed. They may also perform various clerical, stocking, and maintenance functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties as required):
Participates in delivering patient care effectively as evidenced by company standards and policies.
Performs stocking and maintenance functions as evidenced by inventory.
Maintains physical environment of exam and procedure rooms as evidenced by company standards and policies.
Performs various clerical functions such as, returning patient calls, processing prescriptions, recording patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and scanning pertinent information into EMR.
Demonstrates a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the workplace as evidenced by company policies and standards.
Interacts with patients and visitors courteously as evidenced by company standards and policies.
Maintains confidentiality of information regarding patients and co-workers, demonstrates respect for individual, cultural and social differences.
Contributes to the positive atmosphere of the work environment as evidenced by company standards and policies.
Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings.
Supports the development of other staff.
