Eyes On Eyecare in Chattanooga, TN seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to perform comprehensive data collection and assist physicians under JCAHPO guidelines. You will support clinical staff and participate in studies as directed, ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma with some college preferred and valid ophthalmic technician certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; some college preferred.
• Valid proof of certification as an ophthalmic technician.

Responsibilities

• Acquaint patients with office procedures and explain tests.
• Obtain patient history including chief complaint and past history.
• Perform documentation and testing: Visual acuity, Lensometry, Confrontational fields, Stereo testing, Motility, Pupillary tests, Color plates, Tonometry, Advanced refractometry, Retinoscopy, Angle assessment, Dilation, Contact lens evaluations, Visual fields, OCT/HD imaging, Pachymetry, Corneal topography, A/B scans.
• Assist with procedures and surgeries as directed by physicians; maintain sterile technique and infection control.
