Job summary

IQ Laser Vision in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician I to assist surgeons across refractive procedures and intraoperative support. This role requires careful instrument handling, sterilization, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced operating room.

Responsibilities include preparing ORs, circulating for intraocular surgeries, maintaining sterile fields, documenting surgical logs, and supporting pre- and post-operative patient care.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting; ophthalmology experience is a plus.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain focused and efficient in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments, ensuring sterilization.
• Assist surgeons during refractive eye procedures (LASIK, SMILE, EVO ICL, RLE, PRK).
• Maintain sterile fields throughout procedures and handle instruments safely.
• Circulate for intraocular surgeries and prep supplies for cases.
• Document patient records and surgical logs accurately.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance throughout operations.
