Job summary

Luxottica in Greensboro, NC is hiring for a Distribution/Inventory position in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will verify incoming frames, trace lenses, manage frame and lens pairing, and help ship finished jobs. The role requires accuracy, basic math, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Strong teamwork and reliable attendance are essential, with overtime as needed. Experience in a production environment and ability to read simple instructions in English are valued.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment and regularly work with and communicate with others in a team.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence in English.
• Basic ability to add, subtract, understand decimal numerical sequencing, and accurately compare number and letter sequences.

Responsibilities

• Frame Receiving: match and verify incoming frame to work order.
• Frame Tracing: operate tracing machines, mark lenses for axis orientation, and calibrate tracing machines.
• Frame Management: match frames and lenses to ensure timely launch and prioritization of product.
• Shipping: scan trays to prepare invoices, match invoices to tray numbers, wrap finished jobs and label for shipping.
• Lens Receiving: place lenses in proper inventory locations and rotate stock.
• Lens Pick: select lenses and verify against the work ticket for accuracy.
• Lens Ordering: create lens orders and assist customer service with availability.
• Outsourcing: coordinate steps to send/receive lens orders in the EssilorLuxottica lab network.
