Job summary

Sight360 is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves preparing patients and exam rooms, documenting encounters in real time, and aiding overall clinical flow.

Responsibilities include assisting with ocular testing, scribing visits and treatment plans, and coordinating testing and surgical needs. Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience working as an ophthalmic scribe.
• Ability to navigate EHR software system.
• Working knowledge of ophthalmic and medication terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Working knowledge of basic ocular anatomy.
• Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document ocular testing including refractions, lensometry, tonometry, visual fields, OCTs, topography, Amsler grids, muscle testing, pupil exams and related diagnostics.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist with patient flow.
• Accurately scribe patient visits, treatment plans, and physician discussions.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate testing and surgical needs.
• Communicate physician instructions to patients and referring providers.
• Assist with patient calls, pharmacy requests, and general clinical support.
