Job summary

Eye Associates of Plantation is seeking a compassionate Scribe to join our eye care team. The role supports doctors by documenting exams, tests, and patient interactions to ensure an excellent patient experience.

The ideal candidate has Spanish fluency, strong communication, and a detail-oriented mindset. This in-person position offers a collaborative environment and opportunities for growth within ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Spanish fluency is required.
• Willing to train the RIGHT PERSON.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Document eye exams, including visual acuity and basic eye tests.
• Document medical history and interactions between doctor and patient.
• Assist ophthalmologists with diagnostic procedures such as B Scans and Lasers.
• Instruct and educate patients on eye care procedures and meds.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with medical standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and manage supplies and equipment.
• Sterilize ophthalmic instruments and collaborate with the team.
