Carolinas Centers for Sight, an affiliate of Eye Health America, is a growing, multi‑specialty ophthalmology practice that seeks dedicated professionals. We are looking for an ophthalmic scribe to provide accurate documentation and summarization of ocular examinations and recommendations while maintaining patient flow and communicating appointment status.

Job Responsibilities

• Correctly summarizes and documents physician‑verbalized information during an examination, including proper charting, additions to the chief complaint, assessment, and recommendations for treatment, with justification of decisions when appropriate.
• Observes the patient and physician and assists when appropriate during the exam.
• Maintains awareness of the patient’s verbal and non‑verbal communication when the physician provides instructions, and repeats information or supplies written instructions or patient education materials as needed.
• When directed by the physician, completes the superbill, enters billing orders or check‑out forms, and provides guidance to the patient before moving to the next patient.
• Becomes fluent in the exact requirements of each examination.
