Job summary

Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, MA, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Main Operating Room. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with shifts M-F, including 2 eight-hour and 2 ten-hour shifts on our Main Campus at 243-245 Charles Street.

The RN maintains professional standards, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and education.

Qualifications

• OR nursing experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in Massachusetts.
• Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the operating room.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interns, residents, fellows and attending physicians to ensure quality care.
• Apply the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care and education.
